X, formerly known as Twitter, is gearing up to unveil its Premium Tiers. Not long ago, X rolled out its ‘Blue Til’ paid service. With the introduction of sponsored content, it’s evident that users can now also run advertisements. It appears that X may soon expand its premium offerings. In the app code hints that there might be three premium categories: Premium Basic, Premium Standard, and Premium Plus.
Apple Police’s rumors indicate that Premium Plus subscribers might enjoy an ad-free experience, with no ads in the “For You” feed. On the other hand, the Premium Standard seems to offer a reduced ad experience, with “half ads” appearing in the “For You” section.
From the code, it’s evident that all tiers will still feature ads in the replies. The revenue generated from these ads is channeled towards compensating content creators on the platform.
At present, the Premium subscription costs $8 monthly or $84 annually. However, there are whispers from Apple Police suggesting that there might be a hike in these prices soon. Additionally, there could be new pricing tiers introduced. As of now, there’s no further information about the distinctions between these plans or when they’ll be launched.
