In the iOS 17.2 update Apple added new features and apps such as a journal app, spatial video recording and more. Apple also updated its Apple Music with a new feature that automatically adds favorite music to the music library. This feature is enabled by default when you update your iPhone to the latest iOS 17.2 update. This feature can degrade your experience and also rush your library if you have spent an hour and a year making your music library.
If you are like me who has spent a year and an hour on your library and wants to stop the automatic addition of marked favorite songs to your library you can follow these given steps to turn off this automatic adding of favorited songs to the iPhone Music Library.
Apple Music also includes a feature to prevent your favorite song from automatically being added to the music library. You can follow our guide to stop marked favorite songs from being added to the iPhone Music Library. Here’s how to disable this new feature.
- Launch Settings App.
- Scroll and tap on Music.
- Turn the switch off that shows “Add Favorite Songs”.
Hurrah! You have successfully gotten rid of automatically adding favorited songs to the iPhone Music Library. If you want to turn this feature back on, you can simply toggle the switch that you recently turned off for ‘Add Favorite Songs’.
