In September Apple unveiled its latest iPhone 15 series packed with exciting new features and enhanced cameras. Alongside this they introduced the new Apple Watch equipped with innovative features and a powerful chip capable of executing various tasks including the much-loved tap finger gesture that is currently trending.
According to Mark Gurman Apple is diligently working on the development of iOS 18. Gurman reports that Apple is taking its time with this version to incorporate new Generative AI Features expected to debut in the iPhone 16 series. Gurman suggests that the forthcoming iPhone 16 generation will stand out with exclusive generative AI features positioning them as key selling points for these new devices.
While the iPhone 16 series may not boast major hardware changes Apple aims to emphasize the new AI features as pivotal selling points for these upcoming devices. Across all four models of the iPhone 16 series, Apple is expected to launch the Apple A18 chip.
Though Gurman doesn’t tells much into specifics about these AI features we can assume they are aimed at competing with big tech companies like Google and Samsung. Google recently introduced its Pixel 8 series with numerous AI generative features capable of doing many tasks such as generative AI images and many more using the power of AI. There are also rumors that Apple will employ its own LLM model to revamp Siri.
For the Pro devices in the iPhone 16 series reports suggest the inclusion of a new Capture Button situated on the right side near the power button. Other leaks hint at a smaller Dynamic Islands and a 5x optical zoom camera on the 16 Pro device. These anticipated features are generating significant excitement among Apple enthusiasts.
